Senator PANIZZA —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

  That the Senate—


    (i)with concern, the Queensland Farmers Federation quarterly survey's finding that rural profitability deteriorated on 43 per cent of farms due to drought, and

    (ii)that this picture could be reflected all around Australia; and

  (b)calls on the Government, and especially the Minister for Primary Industries and Energy (Senator Collins), to increase its commitment to drought relief, remembering that drought does not only affect farmers but small business, local government and indeed all in those rural areas.
