Senator PANIZZA —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

  That the Senate—


    (i)the call by Western Australian mining adviser, Mr Macleod, for stringent Government policies which will encourage greater investment in Australia, and

    (ii)that while the Government is calling for more investment, the only private increasing investment is in Western Australia in the mineral sector and most recent statistics show that Western Australia is providing 57 per cent of all capital expenditure and 55 per cent of exploration, and that the Court Government can take some credit for this; and

  (b)requests the Government to heed the call by Mr Macleod and back up its call for policies for real investment in Australia rather than letting the mining sector take its resources overseas.
