Senator ALSTON (9.10 p.m.) —I indicate that we will be opposing the Government amendment. I will be moving our amendment, as printed, which seeks to delete the clause and substitute a clause which gives the Minister power to direct a variation of the corporate plan. We think this is broader than the clause as it is currently expressed. The Minister would not be confined to community consultative measures but could give directions in respect of any aspect of the plan. For that purpose we think it is desirable.
