Senator DURACK(4.19) —I have given notice of a motion which is being debated cognately with the motion of the Attorney-General (Senator Gareth Evans). The notice of motion standing in my name is, I think, General Business item No. 115. A fresh copy of my new motion is now being circulated. It shows the amendments to the notice of motion in bold black type in order to contrast with the original motion of which I gave notice. Without going through the rigmarole of moving a whole string of amendments, I seek leave to amend my notice of motion in terms of the present motion, which I table.

Leave granted.

Senator DURACK —There is one amendment that I wish to make to the amended notice of motion I have just circulated. It concerns paragraph (19), which reads:

That the Commissioners report to the Committee and advise it in writing . . .

I wish to delete the words 'report to the Committee' so that it reads 'That the Commissioners advise the Committee in writing . . .' Later in paragraph (19) I wish to delete the words 'report and' so that it reads 'include in its report the advice of the Commissioners Assisting'.
