Minister for Home Affairs

Mr BANDT (Melbourne) (14:28): My question is to the Prime Minister. When I asked him on 27 March this year, the Minister for Home Affairs categorically ruled out any personal connection or other relationship with the intended employers in the au pair stories. He went on to say, 'I don't know these people'. He later publicly confirmed he does know one of them, calling him a former police colleague that he worked with over a period of two years. TV news aired a photo, apparently, of the two of them together, and this morning in parliament the minister even implied that they spoke to each other while working together but simply hadn't spoken since that time. Prime Minister, hasn't the minister clearly misled parliament? Isn't this a clear breach of your ministerial standards? Will you now dismiss him?

Mr MORRISON (CookPrime Minister) (14:29): No.
