Mr ABBOTT (Leader of the Opposition) (2:06 PM) —On indulgence, I rise to support the remarks of the Prime Minister. Yes, details are sketchy, but clearly New Zealand has suffered a devastating earthquake and there are many, many serious casualties. The bonds of love stretch tight and close across the Tasman. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of New Zealand at this time and I am sure the coalition entirely echoes the statement of the Prime Minister that Australia stands ready to do whatever it practically can to help.
