Mr PEARCE (4:21 PM) —Mr Speaker, I wish to make a personal explanation.

The SPEAKER —Does the honourable member claim to have been misrepresented?

Mr PEARCE —Yes.

The SPEAKER —The member may continue.

Mr PEARCE —During question time, the Prime Minister said that he had read a statement from me in which I had said that a particular policy of the coalition would cost $20 billion. I have not issued any such statement that indicates any costing of anything of the like, and I would ask the Prime Minister to be intellectually honest.
