Mr ABBOTT (Leader of the House) (3:29 PM) —On indulgence, for the convenience of members I just want to let everyone know that the government is determined that the free trade agreement legislation and the marriage bill will be fully dealt with by this parliament this week. That is the government's determination. As members on both sides would know, we are in this respect in the hands of the Senate. Because of that it may be necessary for the House to sit on Friday. It would be convenient for members to be aware of that.
