Mr ABBOTT (Leader of the House) (3:55 PM) —On indulgence, Mr Deputy Speaker. I thought it might suit the convenience of the House if I updated the House on where things are at. As I said earlier, the House will sit for as long as is necessary to deal with legislation coming back from the Senate, and the government is determined that the Senate will deal with the legislation which is before it. My anticipation is that probably at about six o'clock this evening it will be possible to suspend the sitting, but we will be back again tomorrow morning at nine o'clock. I regret that, but we are in the hands of the Senate.
