Mr ABBOTT (Leader of the House) (1:21 PM) —On indulgence, I update the House with the state of play. I regret to inform you of this, Mr Deputy Speaker, but the latest advice I have is that the Senate is highly unlikely to be finished this evening. Alas, I do not think that anyone can assume that he or she will be able to get away today. I regret to announce that, but we are in the hands of the Senate. If members opposite would like to encourage expedited debate in the Senate, we will get away a lot earlier.
