Ms GILLARD (3:20 PM) —Mr Speaker, under standing order 64, I wish to make a personal explanation.

The SPEAKER —Does the honourable member claim to have been misrepresented?

Ms GILLARD —Once again, I do, unfortunately.

The SPEAKER —Please proceed.

Ms GILLARD —In question time, the Minister for Health and Ageing repeated the same assertions he has made on every other sitting day this week—namely, that I support the creation of a national health reform commission which would be like the UK NHS and that I am seeking to abolish Medicare and the PBS. Each of these allegations is completely untrue. To be absolutely clear for the Minister for Health and Ageing, I support Medicare, the system that Labor created and the coalition fought against every step of the way.
