Mr RONALD EDWARDS —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

That this House-

(1) notes the encouraging signs of economic recovery provided in the latest Bureau of Statistics figures for the three months to the end of October, in particular those applying to the production of steel, bricks, cement and refrigerators;

(2) recognises that these figures and those on capital inflow provide further evidence of the success of the Federal Government's economic policies;

(3) notes the further encouraging trends in interest rates; and

(4) calls on other financial institutions to follow the recent round of interest rate reductions.
