Dr EVERINGHAM(6.12) —I want to speak briefly on the matter of the isolated voter. I guess there are no more isolated voters than in the most decentralised State of Queensland. For as long as I have been voting in Queensland, the State Government-the only government in Australia where the majority of the members belong to the same party as that of the honourable member for Gwydir (Mr Hunt) who has just spoken-has adhered to a 6 o'clock closing for State elections despite having voting until 8 p.m. at every Federal election. I do not think the honourable member's argument has very much impressed the members of his Party who formed a State government in that State.
