Mr CADMAN —I give notice that, on the next day of sitting, I shall move:

That this House-

(1) expresses its discontent with the Government's handling of tax on superannuation lump-sum payments;

(2) notes the backtracking and contrivances being used to recover the deplorable decision made to tax the lump-sum retirement payments of Service personnel;

(3) deplores the long delay to Service Defence Force Retirement and Death Benefits and fears the prospect of DFRDB being cut to pieces by the Government; and

(4) calls on the Government to act with the utmost urgency to allay fears, boost morale and stop early retirements of all Defence servicemen.
