Printing/Emailing/Saving Results
You can choose to print, email or save your results, that is, the descriptive information (metadata) and documents.
Please note that WinZip® is required to print and save results. To install WinZip®, please follow instructions at http://www.winzip.com/prod_down.htm
Printing
You can always use your web browser's 'File/Print...' (Ctrl-P) to print the current web page. However, the page content will be embellished with page banners, selection tabs, icons, etc.
If you want a printer friendly version, use one of the following options according to the screen that you are on.
My List screen - Download/Print
- click on the 'My List' tab to display records in your personalised list. By default, all items in the list on the assumption that, as a group, they will be either printed or saved to a folder of your choice.
- The Deselect All button removes the ticks from the checkboxes and the records in the list will be retained.
- To delete records from the list, click Deselect All, tick the items you wish to remove altogether and click Delete which deletes the selected items altogether.
- To print or save individual records, click Deselect All, then tick the ones you wish to print or save.
- Having selected records for printing or saving, click on the Download/Print button.
- The Download/Print options screen will be displayed with multiple choices for printing documents and metadata. Each option is explained.
- After selecting a desired option, click on the Go button.
- From the File Download dialogue box, you can select to Open or Save your zipped documents.
- If you select Open and depending on the Download/Print option you have chosen, you will see a WinZip window with a descriptive information (metadata) file if that is what you have chosen. This file contains the metadata of all the documents you have selected. Also in the WinZip window are separate files for each document.
- If you wish to print metadata and documents, highlight the required files, then click on File>Print to print to your preferred printer.
If you are using Adobe Acrobat to print items and the items do not print, it may be necessary to configure file types according to the following instructions.
Acrobat Print Setup
Go to Windows Explorer - Tools - Folder Options

Click on File Types and type in "PDF"

Click on Advanced button

Click on New button

Enter the following information in the respective fields:

Click OK and close window.
- If you wish to save the individual files from WinZip, click on Actions>Extract and then you can save to a specific folder
- Once the user has completed the required actions, the user can close the WinZip program and their browser will still be showing the screen on which the user originally selected the Download/Print items.
Search Results screen
- Click on the 'Print List' icon to obtain a printer-friendly representation of the search results page.
- Use the web browser's 'File/Print...' (Ctrl-P) to print this page.
- Follow the web browser's Back button to return to the Search Results screen.
Search Results screen
- Place your cursor over a result item.
- Perform a right mouse click.
- Select 'Print Target' to print a full display of the target document.
Document View screen
- Click on the 'Print List' icon.
- Use the web browser's 'File/Print...' (Ctrl-P) to print this page.
- Click on the Return to results link to return to the Search Results screen.
Emailing
Search Results screen
- Click on the email icon.
- A new email message box will appear containing the search query link. This link will take the email recipient to the Search Results page for this query.
Document View screen
- Click on the email icon.
- A new email message box will appear containing the search query link. This link will take the email recipient to the Document View of this record.
Saving
My List screen
- From the Download/Print options screen, select your preferred option and click Go.
- From the File Download dialogue box, you can select to Open or Save your zipped documents.
- Click Save to save the zipped file to your preferred location.
