CHAIR —Welcome to this round table meeting of the Finance and
Public Administration Legislation Committee to look at portfolio budget
statements. I am a new chairman of this committee. It looks like a
Tasmanian committee today, standing in the great Tasmanian tradition--the
previous longstanding chairman of this committee, John Coates, was chairman
for 13 years
