A Bill for an Act to amend the law relating to family assistance and veteransâ entitlements, and for other purposes
The Parliament of Australia enacts:
This Act may be cited as the Family Assistance and Other Legislation Amendment (Schoolkids Bonus Budget Measures) Act 2012.
(1) Each provision of this Act specified in column 1 of the table commences, or is taken to have commenced, in accordance with column 2 of the table. Any other statement in column 2 has effect according to its terms.

The later of: (a) immediately after the commencement of the provision(s) covered by table item 2; and (b) immediately after the commencement of Schedule 3 to the Family Assistance and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2012. However, the provision(s) do not commence at all if the event mentioned in paragraph (b) does not occur. |

4. Schedule 2, Parts 1 and 2 |
The day after this Act receives the Royal Assent. |

5. Schedule 2, Part 3 |
