Mr McMULLAN (Parliamentary Secretary for International Development Assistance) (10:10 AM)
âI understand exactly why the shadow foreign minister would be concerned. It is a reasonable question to ask, but once again my advice is that, although the documents show small decreases in funding for consular services over the next two years, there is no funding cut. It is just the standard adjustment for exchange rate movements given the strengthening of the dollar. There would be some continuing impact of the efficiency dividend, but there is no one-off cut; there are no special measures to cut consular services.
