Summary

Amends the Migration Act 1958 to: introduce a regime of obligations for employers who are approved sponsors in relation to a person for a visa, including civil penalties for breaches; provide for inspectors to monitor an employer’s compliance with their sponsorship obligations; and amends the Taxation Administration Act 1953 to allow the Tax Office to disclose certain information to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
