COMMUNITY AFFAIRS—STANDING COMMITTEE—LEAVE TO MEET DURING SITTINGS

Senator McEwen, at the request of the Chair of the Community Affairs Committee (Senator Moore) and pursuant to notice of motion not objected to as a formal motion, moved general business notice of motion no. 197—That the Community Affairs Committee be authorised to hold public meetings during the sittings of the Senate, from 3 pm, as follows:


 (a) on Monday, 22 September 2008, to take evidence for the committee's inquiry into the draft National Health (Pharmaceutical Benefits -- Charges) Regulations 2008; and

 (b) on Thursday, 25 September 2008, to take evidence for the committee's inquiries into the draft National Health (Pharmaceutical Benefits -- Charges) Regulations 2008, the Poker Machine Harm Reduction Tax (Administration) Bill 2008, the Poker Machine Harm Minimisation Bill 2008 and the ATMs and Cash Facilities in Licensed Venues Bill 2008.
