NATIONALS AND LIBERALS HANG UP ON AUSTRALIANS

The National and Liberal parties have betrayed Australians by selling Telstra and selling out the national interest.

Australians are sending a clear message to the Liberals and Nationals - don’t sell Telstra.

But John Howard and Mark Vaile have hung up on Australians, with the National Party rolling over for their Liberal masters and voting to sell Telstra.

All Australians - particularly in the bush and outer suburbs - know that Telstra is not up to scratch and will only get worse once privatised.

Once Telstra is privatised, its motive will be profits, not people. And that means the bush and the outer suburbs will suffer.

All Australians will remember the National Party’s Telstra betrayal every time a mobile phone drops out, every time they can’t access broadband and every time Telstra won’t fix a fault.

And all Australians know that selling Telstra is not in the national interest and that the National Party has sold out country Australia for a song.

The money used to buy off the Nationals will take 20 years to be dribbled out and is nowhere near the investment needed to bring Telstra services up to scratch.

The Labor Party says fix Telstra, don’t sell it.

The Labor Party will continue to take Australians’ clear message to the Liberals and Nationals in Canberra - keep Telstra in public hands.
