APPOINTMENT OF MEMBER '

■ The Minister for Business and ConsuTier Affairs, The Honourable ulal·. Fife,

MP today announced the appointment of Mr Malcolm CockOurn as a member of the .

Prices Justification Tribunal. His appointment commences or 30 July, 1979 for a v ' ‘

period of 5 years. '

■ The Minister said Mr Cockburn, an Economise and Barrister-at-Lau, has had

wide practical experience in both disciplines. His experience includes a term with

the South Australian Chamber of Manufacturers as an economist. Later he uas an

Adelaide University Research Scholar and Reserve Bank Research Fellou. In 1965

Mr Cockburn took up employment as a Barrister-at-Lau specialising in Industrial

Lau.

Mr Fife said that Mr Cockburn's experience uill provide an ideal back­

ground to his appointment as a member of the Prices Justification Tribunal.
