APPEAL TO PETER HENRY·

The Acting Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ian Sinclair,

this afternoon met with Mrs. Cetana Henry and two members

of the Ananda Marga to discuss the widely publicised

suicide threat made by her husband, Mr. Peter Henry..

Mr. Henry has demanded the re-issue of a passport to

Mr. Michael Brandon and the issue of a visa to Donju·Gista.

Mr. Sinclair said he was willing to re-examine both matters

and also to discuss them with Mr. Henry if he would contact

his Canberra office to arrange a meeting. ;

However, he said no Government could act under duress of

threats of the kind made by Mr. Henry or take any decision

while that threat remained.

He appealed to Mr. Henry, to contact him through his office

in Canberra, telephone (062) 73.3344.
