An expert on the provision of courses linking secondary

education and post-secondary education in the United Kingdom will

be kexmote speaker at the National Seminar on the Provision of

Link Courses in Australia to be held at University House tomorrow

and Wednesday.

Mr ■ Michael Sharp, Deputjr Chief Education Officer for Somerset

County Council, arrived in Australia earlier this month to act

as a consultant on Link courses for the Commonwealth Department

of Education. .

■The national seminar has been organised by the Department's ' '·

ACT Further Education" Branch. It will involve about thirty

participants from Education Departments and Departments of

Technical and Further Education in all States and the Northern

’Territory. '

The ACT Further Education Branch, the ACT Schools Authority,

the ACT Career Association, the Centre for Continuing Education

and the School of Teacher Education at the Canberra College of

Advanced Education will be represented also. .

Mr D. Morrison, Deputy Secretary of the Commonwealth Department

of Education, will open the seminar.
