BEAZLEY APPROVES MINOR BUILDING PROJECTS UNDER TAFE PROGRAM

The Minister for Education, Mr Kim Beazley, announced today that he had approved a number of minor building projects worth an estimated $114,458 in South Australia.

Mr Beazley said the projects were part of the Australian Government's new program of grants to the States to upgrade Technical and Further Education.

A total of $108 million has been made available over the 2-year period commencing 1 July 1974. Of this amount $15.1 million has been allocated for minor building projects and equipment.

The projects cover extensions and upgrading of existing facilities. Full details of the projects and their estimated cost are given in the attachment.
