"The State Liberal Party was comparing the figures of the

1973 State election with the 1972 Federal election by exhaustively examining the subdivisional voting patterns, and aligning the Federal and State boundaries," he further said.

For instance, a swing of nearly 11 °/o to the Liberal-Country Party coalition was shown in Eden-Monaro from December 1972.

Mr. Snedden went on to say; "In Phillip the swing had been approximately 5 per cent. Samples from the electorates of Evans and Robertson had shown ..... swings of approximately 5 % and 9% respectively. In all cases the swing was sufficient to return all seats to the Liberal Country Party coalition, and belied

statements that the electoral results have been a satisfactory one as far as the Labor Party was concerned.

Mr. Snedden said; "These figures show an increasing disaffection

with the Australian Labor Party who have nearly completed their first disastrous year in office,"
