EVERY WAY POSSIBLE.

BE TAKEN ON BY A COMPANY WHICH ARE LARGELY RELATED TO

A SATISFACTORY STANDARD OF TRAINING AND SUPERVISION

AS WELL AS PREVENTING ABUSE OF THE SYSTEM. HOWEVER,

IN CASES SUCH -AS PRESIDENT THEY CAN BE RELAXED WHERE

FURTHER ASSISTANCE WILL RESULT IN AN EXPANDED AND

BETTER TRAINED WORKFORCE.

RECEIVING TRAINING FOR 6 MONTHS IN ALL ASPECTS OF

TYPEWRITER ASSEMBLY. I AM PLEASED TO SAY THAT PRESIDENT

HAVE OFFERED THEIR PEOPLE STABLE EMPLOYMENT AFTER

TRAINING AND I UNDERSTAND THEY ARE PROGRESSING WELL.

I T IS ESSENTIAL THAT

T H IS I MEAN THAT THE ASSISTANCE PROVIDED THROUGH OUR

TR A IN IN G SCHEMES SHOULD BE USED IN THE.WAY IT WAS

INTENDED. THESE SCHEMES ARE DESIGNED TO EXPAND

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES BY HELPING CREATE A BETTER

TRAINED AND MORE CAPABLE WORKFORCE. THEY ARE NOT, AS

SOME COMPANIES SEEM TO IMAGINE, A DONATION FROM THE

OPERATING COSTS. UNFORTUNATELY A FEW COMPANIES HAVE

BEEN USING OUR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO EMPLOY TRAINEES,

FOR A SHORT PERIOD AT L IT T L E COSTS TO THEMSELVES, AND

THEN RETRENCHING THOSE TRAINEES WHEN THE SUBSIDY ENDS.

EMPLOYMENT ARE ONLY HELPING TO WEAKEN THE VITALLY ·.

IMPORTANT HUMAN BASE ON WHICH THEY AND ALL OTHER COMPANIES

DEPEND FOR THEIR SURVIVAL AND GROWTH.

INDIVIDUALS HAVE CONFIDENCE IN OUR ECONOMY. BUSINESS

MUST RECOGNISE THAT GOVERNMENTS CAN ONLY ENCOURAGE

INVESTMENT - WE CANNOT FORCE- ANYONE TO COMMIT THEMSELVES
