The Australian Government is offering up to ten

Fellowships each year to permanent residents of Australia

for overseas postgraduate study leading to doctoral

qualifications, in management or related fields. The purpose

of these Fellowships is to give Australian graduates of

high quality an opportunity to pursue their studies at

institutions, in overseas countries recognised for their '

excellence in doctoral training in these fields. A limited

number of special awards may be available for applicants

with extensive managerial experience in addition to ·

appropriate academic qualifications. The period of tenure

of each award will·be up to three academic years.


The benefits provided under the Fellowship are

intended to cover the expenses of travel, living and study

incurred by the award-holder during the·tenure of an award

and will.' consist of:

. return international air fares;

. tuition fees;

. living allowance; ·

. dependants' allowances;

. other allowances to assist with the expenses of

• study and/or:.research, where applicable.

Eligibility .

' Applicants for Overseas Fellowships in Management

must be permanent residents of Australia who are, or at

the time of taking up an award will be, graduates of a

university or its equivalent in an appropriate field. . . ./2

Successful applicants will be expected to return

to Australia to accept a teaching appointment in an Australian

business school on completion of their program of overseas
