The Australian entry in the 1975 International Week for

Educational and Teaching Films was announced today┬╗

Five films have been selected for the film week which is

organised annually by the International Council for Educational Media.

More than 30 countries are members of the council.

The film week will be held in Brussels in March next year

and the films selected by an appraisal panel are:-"Platypus Ornithorhynchus Anatinus" . .

"Mastri - A Balinese Woman"

"Through My Eyes - Stradbroke"

"What is Psychology?"

"Safety in the Kitchen"

The first four films were produced by Film Australia while

the fifth was submitted by the Queensland Education Department.

"Through My Eyes - Stradbroke", the longest of the films,

runs for 26 minutes and the shortest "Safety in the Kitchen" for

12 minutes.

The Australian entry will include also the 60-minute film,

"Lost in the Bush", which was produced by the Victorian Education

Department. Although this film was one of the best submitted for the

1974 film week, it could not be selected because of its length.

However, it is expected the organisers will accept it for a special

screening next year.
