Ministerial 60 25 September 1974

FURTHER GRANTS FOR NON-GOVERNMENT SCHOOL BUILDINGS

The Australian Minister for Education, Mr Kim Beazley today

approved further capital grants totalling $5,353,400 under the Schools

Commision's General Building Program.

The grants are for general building projects in 66 nonĀ­

government schools throughout Australia.

the General Building Program to assist 320 non-government schools

throughout Australia in the upgrading of classroom accommodation and

other school facilities.

period 1 January 1974 to 31 December 1975.

It is expected that the balance of the funds will be allocated

by the end of 1974.

$1,839,500 (28 projects)

$1,422,400 (13 projects)

Tasmania $ 113,500 (three projects)

New South Wales

South Australia

$1,697,800 (17 projects)

Victoria $ 265,200 (four projects)
