ROLE OF ARMY MEDICINE TO BE EXAMINED

Senior Army medical officers will meet next

week to consider the role of the medical corps now and

in the future.

The Director General of the Royal Australian

Army Medical Corps, Major-General C.M. G u mer, said today,

rtQie aim is to consolidate our recent medical experience

into sound doctrine for the future."

The five-day conference, to be held at the

School of Army Health at Healesville, Victoria, beginning

on Monday (October 29), will be attended by senior

medical officers from the Armed Services of New Zealand,

Canada, the UK, the US, and Malaysia as well as Australia.,

This will be the eleventh conference on

military medicine held at the school. The first was held

in 1952.
