Wing Commander Cedric Edward Hampson, of Ascot,

Brisbane, Qld., has been appointed an Aide-de-Camp to her

Majesty, Queen Elizabeth.

Wg Cdr Hampson, 33, a barrister, was educated at

the University of Queensland and Oxford University. He won a

Rhodes Scholarship while attending the University of Queensland

in 1955.

He practiced as a barrister in the Supreme Court

of Queensland in 1957 and became a Queen's Counsel in 1971.

He is a committee member of the Queensland Barristers' Board

and chairman of Barristers' Chambers Ltd.

Wg Cdr Hampson joined the RAAF Reserve as a legal

officer in 1954 and in 1968 was appointed to the Judge Advocate

Panel of the Air Force.

He is married with four children.
