RAAF medical evacuation from Lord Howe Island

NO. 84/77 TUESDAY, APRIL 19, 1977.


An RAAF Caribou transport aircraft from NO. 38 Squadron,

Richmond, NSW,carrying a medical team from No. 3 RAAF Hospital,

is flying to Lord Howe Island today to bring a man suffering

from a heart disorder back to Richmond.

The man will be taken by ambulance from Richmond to

Blacktown Hospital.

The captain of the aircraft is Flying Officer John

Tait, of Brisbane.

The RAAF medical team is headed by Flight Lieutenant

John Moss. Other members of the team are Flight Officer

G. O'Connor, of Kurrajong, NSW, and Corporal W. Muller, of

Hobartville, Sydney.

The aircraft is due to land at Richmond at 4.30 p.m.

The patient's name is not known.
