PRESS STATEMENT

Statement by the Minister for Customs and Excise (Senator the Hon. Ken Anderson) ‘

Senator Ken Anderson, Minister for Customs and Excise

announced today that he had revoked Customs Tariff (Dumping and

Subsidies) Act Notice No. 24 relating to dumping of continuous

filament nylon (polyamide) yarn.

The Minister stated that due to the introduction on

14th April, 1967 of temporary duties following inquiry by

the Special Advisory Authority anti-dumping action is no

longer warranted on these goods.

Senator Anderson added that any imports of these goods

which were entered for home consumption on and after 14th April,

1967 or which were in transit to Australia on 9th March, 1967 / . ■ ' · ■ . .

would not be subject to dumping action. . ·
