SCATTERING OF ASHES OF THE LATE LORD BRUCE

Arrangements for the scattering of the ashes of the

late Lord Bruce over Canberra were finalised today.

An HS748 aircraft of No. 34 Squadron, Royal

Australian Air Force, will fly over Canberra at about 12.15 pm

on Wednesday, 20th March, during the memorial service for

Lord Bruce at All Saint's Church, Ainslie.

The urn containing the ashes will be taken aboard

the aircraft by the Church of England Chaplain at RAAF Base

Fairbaim, Rev. Colin Rush.

The Chaplain will be escorted to the aircraft

by two RAAF Guards wearing sidearms.

NOTE: The aircraft will take off from Fairbaim at 11.35 am.'

Members of the press will not be permitted to travel on the

aircraft during the flight.·
