- PAKISTAN AIR FORCE OFFICERS TO VISIT AUSTRALIA

A party of six Pakistan Air Force Officers will arrive

in Canberra early next month for a three weeks visit to Australia.

. The purpose of the officers visit is to study the

technical problems associated with the replacement of Sabre with

Mirage aircraft.

The Pakistan Air Force will soon receive a number of

Mirage aircraft from the French manufacturers.

The Royal Australian Air Force has re-equipped most

of its Sabre squadrons with Mirage aircraft and is therefore in a

position to offer advice to the Pakistan Air Force officers on

conversion requirements and also on the basic technical facilities

required.

The Pakistan Air Force officers will visit the

Department of Air in Canberra. Other visits will include RAAF Base,

Williamtown and the Government Aircraft Factory and Commonwealth

Aircraft Corporation at Fishermen's Bend, Victoria.
