' CASUALTIES IN VIETNAM

Four Australian soldiers were wounded, two seriously, when an

enemy mine exploded in Phuoc Tuy Province, South Vietnam, yesterday

(December 2), «

Three of the soldiers are: Corporal K,A, Pattle,., of Traralgon,

Vic, condition seriously ill; Sapper B.A, Fenwick, of Canwal, NSW, seriously

ill; and Private K,M, Hains, of Bundaberg Qld, satisfactory, . .

The name of the fourth soldier who is in,a satisfactory condition • ' ·· · ‘ · . w , .

has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

The soldiers received fragment wounds and were evacuated to the

1st Australian Field Hospital, at Vung Tau.

Corporal Pattle and Pte Hains are members of 7th Battalion, '

The Royal Australian Regiment, and Sapper Fenwick is from 1st Field .

Squadron, Royal Australian Engineers,

Their next of kin have been notifiedi
