ANNUAL ARMY EXERCISE

Statement by the Minister for the Army.

the Hon. Andrew Peacock, MP

The Army's Chief of the General Staff annual Exercise will be held in

Canberra this year, between 9th and 14th August, at the Royal Military College,

Duntroon. .

Announcing this today, the Minister for the Army, Mr. Andrew Peacock,

said the Exercise would study problems associated with the employment of the

Australian Army and would also discuss other matters of professional interest.

The Exercise would be attended by senior officers of the Australian

Army and representatives from the other Services and Government Departments.

Overseas visitors to the Exercise would include officers from the

United Kingdom and Far East Command, Canada, New Zealand and the United States

Army and United States Marine Corps.

The Commander,ยท Australian Force Vietnam, and the Commander, Australian

Army Force, Far East Land Forces, would also attend. .
