THREE WOUNDED IN MINE EXPLOSION '

Three Australian soldiers were wounded when an enemy mine detonated

in Phuoc Tuy Province, seven miles south-east of Nui Dat in South Vietnam

yesterday (July 15).

The wounded soldiers, all members of 7th Battalion, The Royal

Australian Regiment, were evacuated to 1st Australian Field Hospital at

Vung Tau.

They are Sergeant T.M. Bourlce. of Holsworthy, NSW, condition very

seriously ill, Private L. Christie, of Upper Ferntree Gully, Vic, condition

seriously ill, and Private G.W. Bellete, of St. Marys, NSW, condition '

satisfactory. '

Next of kin have been notified.
