Davis: Mr. William Francis Young, of Black Rock,

Macquarie Island: Mr. Charles Bruce Ellwood, of Wheeler's . ;·' ■ Hill, Victoria.

Mr. Raymond McMahon, aged 27 years, of Box Hill North

Victoria, is a design draughtsman with a drop forging firm·

Educated at the Preston Technical School, he has had a long

. connection with the Boy Scout movement. From 1956 to 19i?8

he gained engineering experience overseas in England and

. . Qanada. He later served with the Royal Canadian Navy before

returning to Australia. With many sailing interests, he

is secretary of the Cruising Yacht Club of Victoriaf

Mr. Richard Alan Saxton, aged 38 years, of Glen

Iris, Victoria, is a project engineer with the Gas and Fuel

Corporation. He was educated at Scotch College and the

Swinburne Technical College, and gained diplomas in mechanical

and electrical engineering, and a certificate in diesel

engineering· In the A.I.F. he held tli£ rank of lieutenant·

As a very active member of the Melbourne Walking Clnb, he

spends most of his spare time on climbing or walking tours,

Victoria, is attached to a Melbourne'firm of electrical

contractors „ He was educated in Echpea' apd at the Melbourne

Technical College. From 1957 to i960 he served in '

New Guinea as an overseer of tradesmen and native workers

..and as a technical instructor in Port Moresby under the ,/

Native Apprenticeship Scheme, - · ■ ' -This is his second tour of duty with ΑΝΑΒΕ. In

1961 he was stptipned at Mawson as an, electrical fitter-

mechanic where tye was a member of two important fie^d ;

parties working in the Prince Charles fountains, . · ■

Mr. Charles Bruce Ellwood, aged 35 years, of

Wheeler1s Hill, Victoria, is an assistant superintendent

in the Victorian Social, Welfare Department. From 19^3

to 1952 he served in the Merchant Navy ? From 1955 to

1957 he was a platoon commander and fort commander witty

the Malayan'Police Force.
