LATEST APPROVALS OF Oil· SEARCH SUBSIDY

Statement b3r the Minister for Rational Development, The Hon. David Fairhairn, D.F.C., M.P.

. During October, 1964, twenty-two applications for

subsidy under the Petroleum Search Subsidy Act 1959-1964 were

approved. Eleven applications were for drilling operations

and eleven were for geophysical surveys.

The total commitment for these approvals during

October was £592,532.

The approvals with the maximum permissible amounts

payable are as follows.
