TRAINING SQUADRON WINS FLEET AIR ARM TROPHY.

! The Royal Australian Navy's top award for its Fleet

Air Arm has been won this year by the All Weather Fighter Training .

Squadron based at the Naval Air Station at' Nowra.

The award, known as the Collins Trophy, is presented

each year to the air squadron, either front line or training,

which performs its particular role in the most efficient manner.

This year's winners, Number 724 Naval Air Squadron, trains

Navy pilots for Venom jet fighters. Members of this squadron, le '

by Lieutenant-Commander I.K. Josselyn, also form the Navy's "

' ■

V.erobatic team.

This is the second year in succession that the squadron

has been awarded the trophy.
