The Navy this month will release its first newsreel made

specially for television. ■'

The Minister for the Navy, Senator-Gorton, said today that

it was intended to produce regular newsreels showing the activities of

the Royal Australian Navy.

The series will be called "Navy in Focus", and each edition

will run'for about fifteen minutes. The first "Navy in Focus" has just

been completed, and it is hoped that it will be programmed by television

channels throughout Australia. ' "

The .first edition contains six separate items including this

year's major SEATO Exercise, "Sea Devil", and the Fleet visit to Japan.
