POST OFFICE FOR SCOOT TffiETING

Statement by the Postmaster-General (Hon. Alan S. Hulme, M.P.)

A temporary post office will be established at the Claremont

Showgrounds at Perth, from December 29 to January 8 for the Australian

Boy Scouts' Association's "First National Senior Suout Venture" camp.

The Postmaster-General, Mr. Alan Hulme, said that a special

postmarker would be used at the office with a design showing a Scout

emblem.

Collectors in Australia may obtain postmark impressions by

lodging fully stamped and addressed envelopes at the Philatelic Sales

Section, G.P.O. Perth, or by posting them under prepaid cover to the same.

office, or sent fully stamped and addressed under prepaid cover to the

Postmaster, First National Senior Scout Venture, Perth, W.A., to reach

him not later than January 8.

Overseas collectors should forward fully addressed but unstamped

envelopes to the Philatelic Bureau, 664 Bourke Street, Melbourne, Victoria

Australia, with a remittance to cover the cost of the stamps to be

affixed and the service charges (for affixing not more than fpur stamps,

3d per cover;. for affixing five or more stamps, 6d per cover). These

orders must reach the Bureau by December 15.
