ALAN CADMAN, MEMBER FOR MITCHELL SHADOW MINISTER FOR IMMIGRATION AND ETHNIC AFFAIRS

"Australia's migrants have built this nation into the country with the greatest potential in the world," Mr Alan Cadman said today.

"Our immigration programme since the Second World War is a success story unmatched by any other nation.

"The lifestyle values and economic development brought by migrants has my deepest admiration. I am looking forward to working with my many friends in communities around Australia and also to making new friendships.

"The Immigration and Ethnic Affairs policies of the previous Liberal Government were sound and successful.

"It is my intention to continue these worthwhile policies', Mr Cadman said today, upon- his appointment as Shadow Minister for Immigration and Ethnic Affairs.
