CHRISTMAS MESSAGE: RUDDOCK

I would like to extend my best wishes to all local residents and businesses for a joyous and holy Christmas and for a New Year filled with new hope and renewed peace.

Christmas is a time for us to reflect on the year past and to be thankful for the many good things that we have enjoyed. We are fortunate in Australia to possess an abundance of food, fresh air, clothes and shelter. We must be thankful that although we may have struggles, perhaps many of us being more adversely affected this year

than ever before, that most of us enjoy a reasonable standard of living and more political freedom than much of the rest of the world. We must be thankful for what we have and for the potential that we possess as a nation.

Christmas is also a time when we must think about ways we could improve not only our own situation but that of our community and our nation. We must all play a part in making our home, community and country a better place to live. Perhaps by getting involved in a community group, by supporting local charities or local churches

’ ' less fortunate than we are you may find renewed

> are many other ways that we could contribute.

mat as a local community we may look forward to a better year urselves but for our children and grandchildren.
