NEW DIRECTOR FOR AUSTRALIA POST

The Minister for Transport and Communications, Ralph Willis, today announced the appointment of a new director to the Board of the Australian Postal Corporation.

He is Mr Rod Cameron, a chartered accountant from Sydney, who is also a director of a number of large companies.

Mr Cameron's appointment is for five years, ending in August

"His qualifications and experience will add to the Board's ability to meet the challenges of running a world class postal organisation," Mr Willis said.

"Directors such as Rod Cameron and his colleagues on the Board of Australia Post have the task of running a financially responsible corporation, responsive to the needs of its customers."
