Appointments to the Bundanon Trust Board of Directors

Federal Minister for the Arts and Sport, Senator Rod Kemp, today announced the appointment of John Anderson, and the reappointment of Trevor Kilner, Carol Berg and Polly Boyd to the Bundanon Trust Board of Directors.

'Mr Anderson brings a wealth of experience in the arts and his appointment will help to ensure that the Bundanon Trust continues its unique position in Australia's cultural landscape,' Senator Kemp said.

Mr Anderson is a Councillor on the Shoalhaven City Council. He has worked to lift the profile of arts in the area through founding a local youth orchestra and the establishment of an Arts Council Board by the Shoalhaven Council.

Mr Kilner has been a member of the Bundanon Trust Board of Directors since 1993 and had a long association with Bundanon prior to the establishment of the Trust.

Ms Berg is a member of the Music Council of Australia and has been a member of the Board since 1999.

Ms Boyd is an artist and the daughter of Arthur and Yvonne Boyd. She has been a member of the Board since 1993.

The Bundanon Trust is a Federal Government-owned company established in March 1993 to receive and manage the Boyd family's gift to the nation of Bundanon and Riversdale, their properties near Nowra, New South Wales.

The gift included an extensive collection of artworks, letters, photographs and antique furniture and other items created by or associated with four generations of the Boyd family. Other well-known artists represented in the collection include Sir Sidney Nolan, Charles Blackman, Leonard French, John Perceval, Joy Hester, Brett Whiteley and Frank Crozier.
