CARR CAUGHT OUT OVER BRACKS' APPOINTMENT - "JOBS FOR LABOR BOYS"

Industry Minister Kim Carr has been caught out trying to appoint former Labor Premier Steve Bracks to head his mooted

inquiry into Australia's automotive manufacturing sector.

When asked in Senate Question Time today to rule out appointing Mr Bracks to this inquiry, Senator Carr refused to do

so.

Senator Carr denied only that Mr Bracks would be receiving $2,000 per day to undertake this work.

Which leaves the question: exactly how much will Mr Bracks be paid?

Labor in Opposition railed against what they called "jobs for the boys".

Yet in Government it seems it's altogether another matter.

This is yet another case of Labor saying one thing in Opposition, and doing another totally different thing when in

Government.
