Discussion Paper on welfare reform presented to Senate

 

The discussion paper on welfare reform has today been presented to the

President of the S enate and the Chairman of the Reference Group, Mr Patrick

McClure, Minister for Family and Community Services, Senator Jocelyn

Newman said.

 

The presentation of the discussion paper, developed by the Department of Family and Community Services, is consistent with Senator Newman’s undertaking to deliver the document after it had been finalised.

 

The Reference Group will guide the development of Australia’s first Green Paper on welfare dependency.

 

Advertisements calling for submissions to the Reference Group also appeared in newspapers two weeks ago.
